Terms of service

You need an account to create a workspace or edit a roadmap. Keep your sign-in details safe; you are responsible for what happens in your account.

A workspace belongs to its owner. The owner can invite people, change their roles, transfer ownership and delete the workspace.

Roadmaps, features, comments and uploads you add stay yours. You give us permission to store, display and process them only to run KanMaps for you and for the people you share them with — including rendering public pages, share cards and embeds of maps you make public.

You can export any map as JSON at any time, and deleting a map removes it after 30 days in the trash.

People who visit your public or shared maps may spend votes, comment, follow and suggest ideas. You decide per map whether that is allowed and how comments are moderated. Don’t use KanMaps to collect data from visitors that they haven’t chosen to give you.

Don’t use KanMaps to break the law, to publish content that infringes someone else’s rights, to harass people, to send spam, or to probe, overload or work around the security of the service.

Paid plans are billed per workspace per month — never per seat — at the prices on the pricing page. You can cancel from Billing at any time and keep your plan until the end of the paid period. We will give subscribers notice before any price change.

If you move to a smaller plan, nothing is deleted: maps above the new limits stay viewable and editable, but you can’t add more until you are back under the limit. Enterprise terms are agreed separately — sales@kanmaps.app.

KanMaps is growing quickly: features change and things may occasionally break. We provide the service “as is”, work hard to keep your data safe and backed up, and will tell you about incidents that affect it. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before a claim.

You can delete your workspaces and your account whenever you like. We may suspend accounts that break these terms, and we will tell you why unless the law prevents it.
